We have over a decade of experience in fire safety consultancy and delivering fire safety services to clients in the fields of commerce, education, healthcare, housing, leisure, entertainment, and local government.
Clients come to us when they are looking to partner with a fire safety consultancy that can act as an extension of their existing team.
Our senior assessors are all ex-Fire Authority Fire Safety Inspecting Officers who have spent extended periods in fire safety enforcing the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RR (FS)O 2005), and we have a fantastic training pathway educating the next generation of fire safety professionals.
The team is diligent, dedicated, and passionate about what they do.
Whilst our focus is always first and foremost life safety; we are pragmatic in our approach and the advice we offer. We understand the importance of reputational risk and business continuity and will consider property/asset protection. We know our clients’ businesses, budgets, and safety strategies, which allows us to develop workable solutions to solve their fire safety challenges.
We believe that by providing a high-quality FRA our clients can make better business decisions, without compromising life safety.
We work on the principle that every building and operating environment is unique. We build a risk profile by looking at a building’s age, size, structure, complexity, occupancy, and business activity to ensure that our FRAs are comprehensive and fit for purpose.
We have incorporated the nationally recognised PAS 79 guidance within our bespoke templates.
During a FDS we assess the structure, suitability, and operation of each fire door within a building. We can help identify whether the fire door is in place to maintain the escape routes (life safety) or forms part of the general compartmentation of the building (property protection and/or business continuity).
Our assessments also take into consideration operational activity and any method(s) used to hold open self-closing fire doors.
Our bespoke fire training courses ensure that employees, volunteers, and contractors are given site-specific training. This includes familiarisation of identified risks along with relevant evacuation policies and procedures.
Our training courses are designed to be engaging and interactive, to allow attendees to be prepared to carry out their roles effectively should an incident occur.
Ensuring appropriate fire compartmentation throughout a property is the most effective, but often least considered option in protecting means of escape. Correctly managed compartmentation prevents the rapid spread of fire and limits the damage caused to the building and contents.
Our surveys can help identify these key lines of compartmentation and highlight any breaches which compromise the level of protection.
Our fire engineers provide national house builders with a range of services during RIBA Stages 4 and 5. We help clients meet their obligations under Building Regulations Section 38, Approved Document B and support the collection of data required by the responsible person under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, such as Housing Authorities and Managing Agents.
We provide a RIBA stage 5 non-intrusive inspection programme at key stages during the build process. Inspections are carried out at superstructure, pre-plaster, and pre-occupation stages. They are carried out by members of our fire safety compliance team and are a snapshot of the structural fire protection and fire safety measures incorporated into a building’s design and construction.
Our reports identify and prioritise significant findings where remedial action is required - these are then identified, prioritised, and cross-referenced with photographs. We use a clear rating scale to highlight areas of concern and the overall risk of the property, with any safety critical issues always addressed on-site.
We understand that every building and operating environment is unique. We build a risk profile by looking at a building's size, structure, complexity, occupancy, and business activity to ensure our FRAs are comprehensive and fit for purpose.
We use RiskBase™ to complete our assessments and format our templates with clients in mind. The software assists us in producing high-quality assessments, fitting around clients, and helping them to manage complex workflows and large volumes of data easily.
We believe that by providing high-quality fire risk assessments, our clients are then able to make better business decisions without compromising life safety.
We pride ourselves on our approach.
We check all areas of a building, including restricted or prohibited areas and all available fire-related paperwork.

As per current fire safety legislation (Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005), fire risk assessments are necessary for all non-domestic properties, which include public and commercial establishments like schools, warehouses, factories, licensed venues, nursing homes, care homes, offices, retail outlets, and businesses offering sleeping accommodations.
This requirement also extends to sheltered housing and the communal areas of blocks of flats and houses in multiple occupations (HMOs).
Whilst there is no specific legal requirement for how often an FRA should be carried out, we recommend doing so every 3 years, with an interim review every 12 months. However, there are some situations where an FRA should be done sooner, such as:
